In the state of Texas, if two consensual adults decide they want to beat the shit out of each other, there is nothing the po-po can do about it.
It’s called the Mutual Combat Law and it’s legal in Texas.
Who knew?? I sure as hell didn’t. But Dr. Mike Simpson did.
The doc was the latest guest on the podcast Advice Not Taken with Jamie Kilstein.
Dr. Mike tells us about rats doing heroin, the mutual combat law and his story of being mortared while on a first date. Some wild shit.
I highly recommended it. That’s why it is our podcast recommendation of the week.

🤐 No word on Joe Rogan’s club opening up until the beginning of 2023, but the way the permitting process is in Austin right now, who knows he might move to Florida by then.
🫣 While we were waiting to find out the fate of the world during the pandemic, the amazing people at Velvet Hamster were doing God’s work. They created a documentary about comedy and comedy clubs during the shutdown. You might see some familiar faces in the doc. Watch it now.
